89. What is sound, anyway?

Sound is a physical phenomenon involving vibration of air molecules and the transfer of energy. The existence of sound can be understood and demonstrated with tools of physics, as opposed to our mind and soul that we cannot demonstrate with physics. However, the vibration does not turn into sound until someone receives it and registers its meaning. After all, sound does not exist without a receiver. Physics may be sufficient to explain vibrations, but we need more than physics to explain sound. Sound lives on our mind, which goes beyond the realm of science. Again, is sound arts or science?
